Anyone Home?!?!

No one has been here or posted here.
What happened to this family?

Well, there is not too much time to blog I guess...

Lets see, I am working full time and going to school full time.  My hubby is also working hard.
We love our house!  It's the best!

My mom is staying at home and enjoying most of it.  Right now she is living with Bridezilla and she only has to put up with it for 2 more weeks.  She is making all the decorations.

My dad is working hard to pay for this "party".  That's what he calls it.

Nathan is hard at work and school.  He likes it.

And E and Mike are just getting ready to get married.

I just can't wait until this month is over with!  I am ready for the Holidays to start!  :)

Going ons...

Everybody has forgotten this blog, so I figured I'd update it a bit.  Not much has changed.  Everyone's still the same.  My sister and her husband have added a new puppy to the family and they moved into their new house about 5 months ago.  She is also starting school in the summer.  My parents are the same.  They have a teenager in the house, so it is always a little chaotic.  I am still living in NC and finishing school.  I will graduate in 2 months and move back home.  Mike and I will be getting married in about 6 months.  There is no more news in our family.  We get along well and enjoy goofing off together.  When I was home for spring break, my mom taught me how to crochet.  I think it's so much harder that knitting, but just as fun.  Hopefully i will get the hang of that soon.  My mom and I like to sit in our family room, and watch our favorite shows (CSI, SVU...) and knit or crochet... It's our relaxing girl time...

4th of July

So today I was planning on what I was going to wear tomorrow (July 4th) and it dawned on me how cool it is to wear red/white/blue... It is so exciting to wear the colors of the flag of the Nation I am proud to call my home.  I am so thankful that God has blessed me by allowing me to live in this wonderful country.  People think it's silly that I am so concerned with wearing the colors of the flag.  But it makes me proud to wear those colors.  Think how our forefathers fought to make this day happen.  Think of why we celebrate the 4 th of July.  It is not just another holiday.  It is the day America gained its independence.  It is the day God gave Americans freedom.  God has blessed this country so much.  Let's not take advantage of it.  And with that I will leave you with the line of a famous song, "And I'm proud to be an American..."

Stuff

So as you know I am in summer school at the moment.  my classes are killing me.  I can't wait till it's over.  But I've had a good week, and weekend.  I've been hanging out with Courtney more, and we're having a blast.  And I am making new friends.  It's been so great getting to know new people.  Everybody I meet is so nice and funny.  God has really provided me with friends when I needed them.  It's like having a family away from home.  I wish you guys knew about my life here in  Seminary... Everyone is a family.  Always looking out for each other, always willing to help.  And do you know why?  Because we are all here for the same reason, to serve God.  I have a hard time remembering that sometimes... I get so caught up in studying and grades and getting A's, I forget that none of that is important.  What is important is growing closer to God.  Something I've been struggling with.  My Greek teacher told me once, that it doesn't matter if you get a D in a class, your grade does not reflect what you've learned.  He said he failed Greek the first time... Not that I am saying I'm going to fail a class, or get a D (which is passing), I am just saying that I need to re-evaluate my focus and my priorities...  Of course, I still want my A's, but I shouldn't be that obsessed with it...  One of the most important things in my life right now is to improve my relationship with God.  I study His word everyday (for school) and still I struggle with my quiet time and such... Satan really knows how to bring you down, especially when we are serving God.

Life

So now that I am back in N.C., I am very sad... But there's only 1 year left here... And we have summer to look forward to.  I had fun this past week that I was home.  I am very thankful that Newt let me have his bed.   He is such a good brother.  So, you know how I was complaining about my current living situation?!  it's not bad.  My current roomate and I had a nice talk, and we both expect the same things from each other.  It's only been like 3 days, but so far so good.  I am positive that God will have his hand over this situation.  So it'll be ok.  So far I have not unpacked so my room, needless to say is a mess.  It's driving me crazy but I don't have time to clean it.  I am currently taking 2 summer classes and I feel like I am losing my mind.  But God has been good in giving me time to study and sleep.  As you all know, I need my sleep... or else i turn int o the HULK...  lol
Well, I hope you all are doing well... I love you!!!!

Romans Road

If you died today, do you know 100% for sure that you would go to Heaven or
would you have some doubt?

1. The first thing God wants us to know is that we are all sinnners.

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

2. The second thing God wants us to know is that there is a penalty for sin.

Romans 6:23a - "For the wages of sin is death."
Revelation 21:8 - "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the
lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

3. The third thing God wants us to know is that Jesus died for us and His death is the only
hope we have to make it to Heaven.

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 - "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

4. The fourth thing is this...we must believe that Jesus is the Lord and ask Him to save us.

Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Prayer: "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve to go to Hell.
Please forgive my sin. Come into my heart, save me, and take me to Heaven when I die.
In Jesus' Name, Amen."
